The Alpacas (UK)

It all started in November 2011 when Andrei replied to an ad posted by Jorge on a musicians website. Meeting for rehearsals on a weekly basis, they became friends and got involved in different musical projects together.

The Alpacas had their first gig in Camden in December, 2011, covering bands they love, including The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Eagles, REM, Oasis, among others. Their first gig featuring original music only took place in Ealing in March, 2012. They were a featured act and played for over an hour to a very appreciative audience. Since then, The Alpacas have played in very different venues, from pubs to theatre plays and fund raising events, enjoying incredible feedback and encouragement.

In summer of 2015 Adam Leaver (guitar), Koichi Shoji (bass), Jon Scott (drums) and Misato Takeda (keys) joined The Alpacas to form a full rocking band. Ever since, they have been playing gigs, composing new material and launched their debut music video 'Pictures of you' in February 2016.

Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Sally Sampson, Daniel Pérez and Christopher Herrera have collaborated with The Alpacas on a number of songs. You wouldn't guess it, but some of their tracks have been recorded 4 different cities on the world!
