Orukọ

Born in 2015 within the walls of Glaucal - a sound laboratory nestled in the middle of green meadows - ORUKO are a quartet who play intense math rock.

Formed by members of Lafopaes, Macadam Dive and Ahkab who used to hang out together to abuse coffee and beer, the band love playing loud and combining the complexity and frenzy of math rock, the soundscapes of post rock and the heaviness of post-hardcore.

Encouraged by the great reception of their first EP FRCTL, the Swiss math-rock band Orukọ will release their new 7″ titled “Alambique​/​La Vache“.

ORUKO est un quartet de math/rock formé en 2015 entre les murs du collectif Glaucal, lieux de recherche sonore dans les prés.

Composé de membres issus de Lafopaes, Macadam Dive et Ahkab, réunis régulièrement autour d'une table entre bière et café, le groupe met les ampli sur 11 puis explore et varie les ambiances en liant complexité et frénésie math/rock, envolées post-rock et passages lourds propre au hard. Un peu comme ci Iggy Pop animait une conférence sur la physique cantique, ORUKO c'est une musique cognitive et punchy qui fait gigoter têtes et fesses.

Encouragé par l’accueil chaleureux de leur premier disque « FRCTL » en 2017, ORUKO sort le 30 mars 2018 un nouvel ep intitulé ALAMBIQUE/LAVACHE.
