Amos Lee

I've loved Amos's music for years and finally got to see him. I was not disappointed. His vocals are amazing and his band is top-notch. I'm ready to see him again. If you love singer songwriters and good music, Amos should be at the top of your list. He's probably one of the most underrated musicians out there.

My husband and I absolutely adore Amos Lee. Amos Lee creates the rare kind of music that's emotionally raw, yet is soulful with a contemporary jazz feel. We have seen him in multiple concerts - this one was different. In the past, Amos has performed by himself, sang from song to song while telling a story - a story of his songs. At this concert, however, Amos spent a good portion of the concert jamming out with his band for an extended period of time during each song. The band complemented Amos well . . . but we severely missed Amos just singing from song to song.

What an enjoyable experience! Amos Lee and his band were on point and delivered a very professional sound with the accompaniment of the Nashville Symphony. We enjoyed seeing him in my hometown of Bowling Green the Tuesday before but there was no comparison to the experience of the sound the symphony added to the excellent performance which catapulted his music to the next level. Please return to Bowling Green. Look forward to seeing you again soon!!

I wish I had words to praise this event but I have none. Fantastic? Spectacular? These do not even come close. This was one of the most amazing beautiful experiences I have ever had. Amos Lee is perfect and add the Midland Symphony…absolutely incredible night of music. Thank you to all that made this possible. One of the highlights of my life!

First time seeing Amos Lee in concert but a fan since his debut album! Live, raw and velvety smooth vocals that made the recordings I have loved so much feel like a shadow by comparison. The ultimate hype man for his immensely talented band, it felt like I was watching a jam fest among friends rather than a planned performance. Best musical experience of my life.

He is amazing. His music is insightful and soulful. It was the first time I have seen him with a full band and they are amazing. The only drawback was if you have never seen him, with a band, it was hard to hear his voice and his voice is his absolute best features. But his acoustic set in the middle helped that. So amazing!!!

We were blown away at Amos Lee and the band! Truly his band was extraordinary even just on their own… Amos was gracious with the time he allowed the band to perform and show off their own artistry! His vocals are amazing… Can’t wait to hear his next album. One of the best concerts we have ever been to!

Amos Lee puts on a great show! His voice is sublime and he has great stage presence ~ funny and charming, and connecting easily with the audience and warmly with his talented band. Jensen McRae, his opening act at The Beacon Theater in NYC was fabulous ~ what a powerhouse voice! Two thumbs way up for all of these talented singer-songwriters!

Amos has been my hero for 10 years and for the first time I got to see him live in my hometown thanks to my boyfriend. he surprised me with the tickets. Not only was his show incredible but he engaged with the audience and was so personable. I couldn't be more in love and I cannot wait to see him next time he comes to town.

Absolutely fantastic show! Have been wanting to see Amos Lee live for a while. Nothing short of amazing...his vocals are pure perfection. The band was insanely good, great musicians. I love shows in a setting where it’s all about the music, and this was it! Definitely recommend seeing this guy when he returns, I know I will.

Amos Lee was incredible, his vocals hinged between silky smooth and soulful rasp, characteristics we know and love. The bands country, jazz, gospel, folk vibe kept the crowd lit, especially when they played three more songs after the show was over. Next time he's in town check them out, they will not disappoint.

I just saw Amos Lee at the Lincoln Theater in D.C.. Man this guy just oozes talent! He seems so comfortable on stage and just lets the talent out, he’s got so much soul that I felt like I was at a gospel revival. Seven musicians on stage and along with the usual equipment, a slide steel guitar, a mandolin and two keyboardists. I felt hints of Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan and Damien Rice as he guided us through 2 hours of a great performance. Caitlin somebody opened and was a fantastic prelude. She is 7 months pregnant.

I cannot even begin to explain how beautiful last night was. Amos Lee has always been one of my top five favorite artists- I do believe he could now be in my top two. First - we were at Powell Hall where the St Louis Symphony plays, so the acoustics were insane. Fifth row seats didn’t hurt, either. Amos started his show just playing guitar, with his amazing primary instrument - his voice. His voice was so powerful and the audience so attentive he even stepped away from the mic and carried it. He then added his pianist, bassist and drummer for a bit. He brought the crowd into a two part singalong that led to a point where he actually had the band stop playing so everyone could enjoy the fullness of the music we created together. Then the symphony orchestra joined the band and played this set list. The arrangements were so incredible that Paul and I often closed our eyes to take in the full tapestry of sounds without distraction. Beauty surrounded us. I actually had tears streaming down my face during “Keep it loose, Keep it tight.” Amos and his band were reverential to the conductor and orchestra members - I do hope the orchestra members know how much we appreciated how they enhanced the music. At the end of the show, strangers turned to strangers, expressing their awe over what we had just collectively experienced. We’ve seen Amos is highly danceable settings (outdoor shows) and in smaller venues (the Sheldon), but this just blew us away. Get out this summer - find some music to listen to - be transported to a pure place - and remember we were all put on this earth to respect each and every fellow human being - and share in the beauty that is this world and what we can create. After the past few weeks of seeing the under belly of our country, and the callousness of our leaders to fellow human beings - I needed this. So needed this. You need it, too.

Amos was great. He had great energy. His new album sounds amazing. He left out a lot of his old good stuff and played a handful of covers and long instrumentals. The venue is beautiful. Great sound. This concert was a fund raiser and the venue was perfect for this purpose.

This was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen !! The State Theater in Ithaca NY is a phenomenal venue to begin with . The acoustics are superb and it’s a great atmosphere on the Commons. Mutlu opened the show, and set had the crowd pumped from the first chord.. he was great !!! Amos took the stage and just blew everybody away !!! His style is like no other. A superb guitarist and an even better vocalist. He played non stop.. interacting with the crowd the whole night. He even had the crowd participating in a handful of songs. From keeping the beat, to whistling the leads, and for a finale .... singing with him as he unplugged his guitar, and stepped out from the mic to be intimate with us !! I’ve seen many artist .. but few if any compared to this show. He is a must see whenever you get the chance!

Fantastic concert. He was so humble and interactive Witheiller audience and band. Songs were amazing, played some slow and some fast. Great balance to keep the audience engaged. Come out for an encore and played fat bottom girls. Although I hate the song it reminds me of my kids (long story don't ask). Lol. I will be seeing him again when he returns to dfw area

Great show as always! I highly recommend seeing Amos live! I love his facial expressions when he is dancing. My only disappointment was that he only did a couple songs from the new album. Wish he had done a couple more, like "Vaporize." But he did my favorite, "Windows Are Rolled Down" and "Arms of a Woman."

Amos Lee adds another stunning show to his tour. He is the most perfectly present in-the-moment artist I've ever seen. Every show he does makes me laugh, cry, and leaves me hungry for more of his beautiful heartfelt music. He is musical genius and pure heart and soul. His band is equally amazing. They always deliver unparalleled spiritually and emotionally uplifting performances. Musical love.
