Black Sands

Consisting of two pairs of brothers, Reuben (Guitar/Vox) & Jasper (Drums) Kemp and also Jacob (Bass/Vox) & Sam (Guitar/Noise) McGill, the band formed at the end of summer 2010 back in Bury St. Edmunds. Having already produced 2 self-released EPs, Paper Wings and That’s Not So Magnetic (featured on BBC Introducing). 2013 sees them release their eagerly anticipated ‘Introduction’ EP in April 2013. Recorded at the prestigious Mill in Bury St Edmunds in late 2012 the latest EP is the most accomplished piece of work to date. Black Sands head into 2013 having already played key London venues over the last 18 months as well as Norwich Water Front & The Apex in East Anglia They have gained a substantial following from gigs at Camden Barfly (supporting The Kabeedies), Imperial College London, Proud Galleries & O2 Academy Islington. Having already secured slots supporting NYC band Peanut Butter Lovesicle & As Elephants Are, plus an EP Launch at The Macbeth. 2013 also see Black Sands launch in collaboration with clothing company Bide & Fecht a range of limited edition Sweatshirts and T-shirts.
