Amp Melo

Formerly known as “Amplified”, Amp Melo is a genre-bending rapper and singer from Santa Cruz, CA. Combining polished Hip-Hop bars & soulful R&B melodies, Amp weaves his sound through the fabrics of classic and fresh with a diverse range of voicings and soundscapes. Amp’s sound resembles influences from The Roots, Blu & Exile, Aloe Blocc, Logic, Mos Def, and Atmosphere.

His live show is made up of high-energy crowd work, captivating rap bars, and big blues style vocals over a variety of rhythms backed by a DJ, bassist, electric guitarist, and a unique addition of Jazz Flute. Throughout the years, Amp's been building his fanbase and developing his eclectic sound on national tours with The Expendables (Santa Cruz, CA legends) and in previous years on the Vans Warped Tour. Amp is rapidly growing his audience in the SF Bay Area with local shows and bringing crowds on his opening slots for artists such as GZA of The Wu-Tang Clan, The Pharcyde, Little Stranger, Collie Buddz, The Expendables, and more. Look out for his breakout project, “Off The Bench,” coming in 2024.
