About Bodi

We're a lot alike, you and I. I don't get enough sleep. I think it would be nice if social media never existed. I was too shy to give a note to the girl I loved in 6th grade. I was an awkward kid. I floss for two days after the dentist and then forget about it until the day of my next checkup. And I hide behind a mask and armor that my ego creates to try to keep me safe. I make music to try to tear down my walls, and hopefully help you do the same so we can see each other as we really are: souls on a quest to find happiness in a world that doesn't make much sense. I grew up in a small fishing and logging town in the northwest corner of Washington. I was outdoors most of my childhood, even though it always rained. My parents fought a lot, split when I was in 2nd grade, and then I started stuttering and having learning disabilities. I started running everywhere I went, and got introduced to rap by 2Pac and Naughty by Nature. Running and hip hop became my religion. I'd sneak out of bed to watch YO! MTV Raps, and write lyrics the next day in class in the margins of my assignments and on the backs of love letters I never delivered instead of paying attention. Now music is my full time job, thanks in large part to friends and fans who believed in me before I did. I've toured, made songs, and become friends with some of my biggest childhood artistic inspirations. I'm humbled I get a chance to put my message into the world and pursue what I feel I was born to do. In early 2013, I'm releasing an album called The Fall of Atlas. It's a Greek tragedy. It features a lot of people I really respect and love, and it's about 50683095x better than anything I've ever made. You'll like it. Thank you for being the person you are in the world. When we meet on the road, I'll give you the sweatiest bear hug of all time. peace.love.respect., alex (bodi) #teamdharma The Fall of Atlas - Out Now: http://tinyurl.com/FallOfAtlas
