Roberto Tola

Roberto Tola is an Italian multi awarded Jazz and Jazz Guitarist, Composer, Arranger, Studio Recording Artist and Recording Academy Member. He was born and raised in Sardinia Island, Sassari (Italy); began studying music when he was just six years old. In 1976 studies Cello in the Conservatory of Music in Sassari. Meanwhile continues his studies of Modern and Jazz Guitar and established the sextet named JAZZMANIA (1985-1988). From 1989 is member of the Italian “Blue Note Orchestra”, and from 1991 up to 2010 is the official guitar of the Sardinia Jazz Orchestra, also conducted by well known Carla Bley, Bob Mintzer, Colin Towns, Giorgio Gaslini, Bruno Tommaso, Giancarlo Gazzani and others more. In his life in music he has also toured and/or performed with Tom Harrell, Steve Swallow, Andy Sheppard, Norma Winstone, Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Richard Galliano and many more. Meanwhile Roberto collaborated and recorded with Shakatak, Jill Saward, Bill McGee, Bob Mintzer, Bill Sharpe, Tim Collins, Najee, Paul Taylor, Michael Lington, Paula Atherton. Rocco Ventrella. His debut album BEIN' GREEN, including the single hit SUNNY MORNING, got many outstanding international achievements and awards, and reached the top of many music charts all around the world. His last single Slow Motion, released in November 2018, and featuring the Californian singer Darryl Walker, got the top of many music charts of the genre, specially in USA, Canada, Australia and England, where the song has been #1 for 24 weeks on a row on The Moth FM Radios Group. In may 2020 releases his new album COLORS, again featuring some best stellar world class musicians, including Michael Lington, Paula Atherton, Rocco Ventrella among others.. Just after only 3 months from its official launch, the new CD is one of the most streamed albums among more than 100 Radio Stations per week, all around the globe. The album contains the multi awarded hits Slow Motion and Lullaby of Christmas.
