According to AceOne, Hip-Hop can’t be categorized into any particular genre of music or style. Hip-Hop in his opinion should be known as a lifestyle or culture that can bring rise to many parts that include: beat boxing, graffiti writing, b-boying, beat making, DJ’ing and rapping. Growing up, AceOne got his first taste of Hip-Hop culture when he first began to Beatbox, Breakdance, and Graffiti write at local events in his small town, which is located in the interior of British Columbia. Naturally, by surrounding himself in the culture of Hip-Hop, many local hip-hop artists helped encourage him to try his hand at free style rapping. With his fully expanded mind in Hip-Hop Culture and encouragement from fellow artists within his local Hip-Hop scene, Ace One soon began to start writing down verses and started to take himself serious as an artist. In 2008, AceOne hooked up with the local Hip-Hop group, Basic Value, which was currently starting up their own record label at the time, Ause Records. With AceOne’s smooth vocal abilities and versatility on the microphone, it did not come as a surprise to him when he soon got signed to Ause Records. Since then, he has been touring and performing countless shows with fellow label mates Basic Value. He has also had the honor of sharing the stage with such big acts such as: The Living Legends, The Beatnuts, Abstract Rude, Awol One, Evil Ebenezer, Snak The Ripper and Emotionz to name a few.
