The Johnny Anderson

Who is John Anderson: I’m a singer-songwriter from Barrie, Ontario. I grew up playing hockey in the winter and baseball in the summer. One day I picked up a guitar and taught myself how to play. The first tune I learned, despite my love of country music, was Thinking Out Loud. My mom, an elementary school teacher, played it for her kids and they loved it! I decided to check out a local open mic and they wanted me to play. When I finished, the owner of the place actually offered me a gig! At the time I only knew a few songs. So I went back week after week learning new songs each time. I got that gig he initially offered and it’s been a crazy ride ever since. Started playing gigs, doing shows, then on to winning contests and awards. I have shared the evening stage with big acts such as; Tebey, Alan Doyle, Blue Rodeo, and Andrew Hyatt to name a few. I’ve had some of the best times of my life playing music!

He plays upbeat Country (rock/pop) with some classic rock splashed in. Country fans and non Country fans will both become John Anderson Music fans after a show.
