Jon Robert

Boston-based singer/songwriter Jon Robert has been delivering his own brand of infectious pop/rock with timeless melodies, emotive vocals and sincere passion from Maine to California over the last few years. And through his touring (over 400 shows) and building a sizeable fan base, Jon has built a huge wave of anticipation about his forthcoming album, Meant To Be, set for release in June of 2009.

To get to this point, Jon has built and maintained an astonishing presence on the Internet securing thousands of fans on MySpace, MTVU, YouTube, and Facebook . Accompanying his online success, Jon’s debut album was licensed to MTV and received multiple placements on The Real World (Sydney and Brooklyn), The Gauntlet III, and most recently, The Hills. On the latter, the song “Touch Down” was featured on the show's season finale, an episode watched by an estimated 34 million viewers.

But before that, Jon’s career was effectively launched a few years back, when he was asked to support teen pop sensation JoJo in a 4000-seat venue in his hometown. With a very positive crowd response, this led to many more opening slots, and since then Jon has shared the stage with John Mayer, Maroon 5, James Blunt, Counting Crows, The Jonas Brothers, and even The Police.

Texas-based artist development music company Red Cup Music will release Meant To Be, and a percentage of the album’s sale proceeds will be donated to a charity that helps homeless children. With the buzz that Jon has built online, fans have been eager to be able to purchase the new effort, an album he hopes will be a “modern day classic.”
