About Pixelpussy

Minimal electro-clash industrial technoise...whatever you call it...it's Meower Noise Created by one feline mastermind...performed by a "cats" of characters trained in production, seduction, and destruction! Pixelpussy was created in December 2009 by Los Angeles-area turned Seattle-based musician, promoter and DJ Daemon Chadeau (aka Sir Kitty Meow-Meow). For over a decade Daemon has been involved in the scene in some shape or form as a self-described "Jerk Of All Trades", most notably as bassist for Seattle rock band Prelude To A Pistol. In L.A., Daemon is also notoriously known as a writer and has also contributed to local publications El Orgullio Latino and has also worked as a Senior Staff Writer for Rock City News in Hollywood, CA. Daemon has also been a DJ in the scene between Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Seattle for over a decade. He started specializing in the power noise genre back in 2004, and was a well-known personality on Second Life before breaking into the local scene. Daemon started Pixelpussy as part of a New Year's Resolution to return to songwriting, which he neglected after L.A. "experi-metal" band Izevl disbanded in 2006. It originally started off as a joke, named after two things: Daemon's avatar on Second Life (a neko), and "virtual vagina". The joke began with the release of "'That' Kind of Party", and then after releasing "Toxic Testicle Nectar", "The Ass Justifies The Means", and most recently "God and Pussy", the project started to gain more buzz within local artists and musicians on the virtual scope as well. The project was signed to upstart New York-based label Moonslave Radio in March of 2010 and released the debut album "This is Meower Noise" on June 25, 2010, featuring remixes from ESA, code 000, and Bioassay. The project's sophomore release, "Das Mewntz", was released on Leap Day, February 29, 2012 and will feature remixes from Hexis, Prophets of the New Machine, XFnX, & MoonSlave labelmate Dacaboya. While there were a couple of performances in Southern California, the project didn't gain traction until after Daemon moved to Seattle in 2011. Since then, Pixelpussy evolved into industrial performance art with the addition of Mark Noir aka Sir Meows-A-Lot (Bruderschaft, V1rtual D3sc3nt, and formerly of Aesthetic Perfection), drummer Westin Halvorson (My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Desillusion, and Endless Sunder) and grinder team Mödular Diva, Emily B., and eventually Amy G. who collectively would be known as The Pussygrinders. This new live lineup has opened for national acts such as Faderhead, iVardensphere, The Gothsicles & Terrorfakt. With a partially new lineup as well as a new label in Wicked Wonderland Empire, Pixelpussy is currently booking in the Northwest and will release its third album "Tactical Feline Implant" in June 2016.
