The Barrelhousers

Band biographies are a waste of time. Why are you going to sit and read a musician's boastful, self-aggrandizing Facebook info when one click of the "play" button could tell you everything you need to know about them? It's understandable to want a general idea of how musicians sound, but what is there to be gained from reading a glorified sales pitch? Speaking from experience, there are only three things you will learn: Those who say they are the next big thing definitely aren't. Music described as unique, groundbreaking, revolutionary, or innovative rarely is. And those who insist that they sound like your favorite artists never do. We've been called Rock. We've been called Folk. We've been likened to Blues, Punk, Psychedelic, Alternative, Funk, Gypsy (somehow), and even "the sound of two dinosaurs fighting." But all that is inconsequential because the following is all that really needs to be said about us or anyone: We are The Barrelhousers and we play music.
