Reckless Tram and the Frying Pan...early nicknames of the blues harmonica and electric guitar. Link Neufeld and Steve Dueck are two musicians who have been playing together in Southern Manitoba for years, first in the band Link and the Moustaches, and now as the blues duo, Reckless Tram and the Frying Pan. Link’s harmonica and Steve’s guitar mesh together for dynamic and expressive versions of the blues songs they love by the artists who inspire them: Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers, Sonny Boy Williamson, John Hammond. This music comes from a place that’s real…a place that’s important to them. And that comes across in every song as they stomp and wail and whisper and moan the blues in their hearts. They have played with their Winnipeg heroes Big Dave McLean and the Perpetrators, and look forward to entertaining audiences wherever they play.
