In a scene where bluegrass and indie-pop prevails, MY BROTHER, THE VULTURE is trying to turn heads and bring some light back into Midwest rock. After releasing their debut EP, “Now’s Your Chance” in February of 2011, the band received great reviews and attention from the online community. Nick Gerli of AbsolutePunk.net praises the EP, stating the band “confidently fuses screaming, spoken-word, crunchy guitars, and heartfelt melodies”. On top of the great reviews, MY BROTHER, THE VULTURE has had the chance to play shows with nationally touring acts like BORN OF OSIRIS, THE BLED, LETLIVE, THE FELIX CULPA, and HARVARD. In summer of 2011, MY BROTHER, THE VULTURE won a spot on the ERNIE BALL STAGE at the Kansas City date of WARPED TOUR. Later that summer, the band was given the opportunity to record at CONVERSE’S Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn, New York, and set up a tour surrounding their recording dates in the Big Apple. As for now, the band is focusing on touring and recording another EP in Summer of 2012. Regardless of the local music scene, MY BROTHER, THE VULTURE is doing everything they can to reach fans across the world. Distance is not an issue. MY BROTHER, THE VULTURE is about the music, and they’re doing everything they can to share it with the world.
