About Antonioni

Seattle’s Antonioni melds heavy, guitar-centric hooks with modern indie-pop sensibilities. Lush chords and pronounced riffs carry the unique vocals of singer and guitarist Sarah Pasillas. The result is an eclectic nod to early 90’s alternative acts and stand-out contemporaries like Japanese Breakfast and Alvvays.

Antonioni released their first EP, a stripped down and live sounding record, titled Lullablaze in 2017 on Den Tapes. The EP was met with acclaim, including Lauren Rearick from Lauren Records (AJJ, Japanether) who deemed Antonioni’s first single as: “ [a] step into the heart of something astounding...unshakeable.”

Their follow-up EP, recorded with producer Rick Hoag at MXR Studios is due out Summer 2018. This collection of songs features a larger sound, tonal experimentation, and a focused approach to production.
