Yezda Urfa

Yezda Urfa were an American progressive rock band of the 1970s. Their recordings have reached legendary status among collectors of vinyl rarities, fetching high prices. They are known for extremely intricate, complex compositions, and a sound that features elements of Yes and Gentle Giant, generally done at high speed with great precision. Their first album, Boris was recorded in 1975 as a demo for record labels, and manufactured in very limited quantity. After getting no label interest, the band recorded some further sessions, including some reworkings of pieces from the first album, but this second album (Sacred Baboon) was not released until 1989. Recent years have seen both albums released ligitimately on CD.
