They play Hawaiian and bluegrass (including reggae and ska) inspired country, punk, classic rock and cover songs from Patsy Cline to the Ramones. The music selection is outstanding. They have released a wide variety of albums with top Japanese musicians. First US show 2002 SXSW, a huge success and introduction to the world Petty Booka's songs are still being played on radio stations somewhere in the world since the 90s.
Petty Booka has been performing live again in Japan since 2020.
