Preoccupations

They played the new album front to back, was pretty cool and a good crowd. After that they played a few of their older songs and that's where it kicked into a higher gear. Good energy from the crowd, but it was unfortunately cut short as there was a Halloween party starting at 10:30 and they got booted off the stage by the Biltmore staff. So, I think there could have been some better planning so they could finish their set. It was pretty anticlimactic.

Excellent show! The energy Preoccupations delivers is transformative-I am looking forward to the next live show I can catch. I caught Dinosaur Jr. a few weeks ago and I dare say that Preoccupations were just as LOUD. Plus one for the opener, Cindy Sparkles-a haunting solo act that pulses with raw energy.

Freak Heat Waves were one of the best openers I've seen. Viet Cong had a good stage presence, and I loved the bass led rhythms.

I love this band. It was my first time seeing them live. Unfortunately, they didn’t perform as good as they do on their albums. However, there were some really good moments...

This was absolutely their best performance I’ve seen (5th show of theirs.)

My ears are still ringing but I'm counting that as a good thing. Scarlet Rascals and Cold Pumas were also great performances.

Last year they were the best live show I saw. New songs sound good, and I'm sure will sound better with more shows. Sound could have been mixed better.
