About All Cows Eat Grass
All Cows Eat Grass (ACEG) is a band & art collective based at #PastureATL, dedicated to the preservation of free minds & boundless souls. All Cows Eat Grass shares stories based-on real-life fantasies, wet dreams & nightmares. Friends for a lifetime, these native Tennessee kids are cultural curators, marketers and producers of music and live show experiences. All Cows Eat Grass’ Self-Help is the electro-funk band’s debut album. The follow-up to the 2014 remix project, The Kool Collection, Self-Help was created as Terrence "T" Brown, iamjeffcohran and Reneeka Rae. traveled the world as producers of Janelle Monáe's live experience. Their travels resulted in the creation of tribal, funky, electro-trap tunes that express a locally cultivated world sound; music as comfortable in South Memphis as it is in South Wales. All songs were recorded, written, produced and performed by All Cows Eat Grass in Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, London, Amsterdam and at ACEG headquarters, #PastureATL. Handling the art duties for the Self-Help project was young, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) student and artist, Cyd "Cydvolution" Ahlberg. All Cows Eat Grass singles "If We Dance," "Keisha," and “Wanna Bey” prompted the art collective to dive deeper into their passion for producing visuals, as the trio paired with Atlanta-based directors Sean Kelly [“If We Dance”] and Vonte Vendetta [“Keisha” and “Wanna Bey”] to create the single’s music videos. Self-Help's first single, "If We Dance," is an ode to the ACEG Pasture tribe. The mid-tempo drum-and-bass tune waxes nostalgic about house parties, barbecues, and lost loves of yore. "Keisha" is ACEG's self-described "origin song." Originally produced in 2009 at #PastureATL, "Keisha" encouraged T. Brown, iamjeffcohran, and Reneeka Rae. to formally establish ACEG. This electro-R&B tune is a downtempo celebration of the female mind, body, and spirit, inspired by the many muses of the Pasture tribe. Third single “Wanna Bey,” is a Memphis-inspired, bass-heavy turn-up that playfully assesses the state of modern dating. Self-Help is available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music. "If We Dance,” "Keisha" and “Wanna Bey” are available for streaming on Soundcloud, while the songs' accompanying visuals are featured on the All Cows Eat Grass YouTube page.
