I loved it. Had 2 chats to Chris, great bloke. Bought a CD, cap and stubby holder. Always wear the cap, esp to the Pub. Listen to the CD and the newer one, Little Bit Long Way. When I got home with Hell, West and Crooked I realised it had The 1952 Vincent Black Lightning on it. Richard Thompson is one of my favourite artists. I saw him in the mid 70s at the Apollo Stadium, Adelaide, playing with Fairport Convention. Would love to see Chris play it. I will pump up an event with the locals.

About Chris Matthews Music
Taking the best of country, bluegrass, rock ‘n roll, folk and roots, and wrapping it all up with some incredible musicianship and stage presence, Chris Matthews returns to the road in 2016 as part of his Australia wide tour to promote his 3rd album “Ten Tales From Ghost Gum”. 2015 was a huge year for Matthews, performing nearly 200 shows in every corner of the country, playing the Tamworth Festival, the Airlie Beach Festival and the main stage at the Gympie Muster; to jumping on stage with Luke O’Shea, the Bob Corbett Band, and The Hillbilly Goats just to name a select few, the award winning guitarist/singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist is back with a new album and a swag of new songs and stories. And with slots at the Fairbridge Festival, where he was one of the highest selling artists of the event, to The Kimberley Moon Experience, Palm Creek Festival (QLD) and a tour to Iceland and Denmark still to come, as well as continuing his residency at the world renowned El Questro Wilderness Park for the 11th year in a row, this year is already shaping up to be just as big. Well known for his epic 3-4 hour sets, a gargantuan stage presence, and a dexterity on the fretboard that leaves audiences shaking their heads in wonder, as well as a bucketload of energy as a solo artist that puts a lot of bands to shame, Matthews is one heck of a performer. And whether it be on 6 or 12 string acoustic guitars, mandolin, banjo, or lap steel, rest assured - you probably haven’t seen someone play quite as uniquely or as boisterous as he can. Having supported acts such as Lee Kernaghan, Sara Storer, Adam Harvey, Troy Cassar-Daley, the Hoodoo Gurus, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, Blue Shaddy and John Butler, Chris can match it with the best of them. And whether it be playing one of his own fine compositions, or taking songs from other artists, one thing is for sure – he does them all in fine fashion and in his own way, and has found something that has become a rarity these days – his own voice.
