Missy Higgins

I have seen Missy Higgins a few times now and she is consistently good, genuine, honest, funny and just plain cool. The location was great and easy to get to though would definitely recommend the shuttle bus, at least to get up that hill!!

What a fantastic night. Missy Higgins is a phenomenal singer. Her voice is just beauty and sitting on the steps of the opera house felt like magic. Missy was funny and explained some of the backstory to her songs on the sound of white cd. The first set of her show was acoustic which i loved and she even forgot some chords and words to her own songs and in true Australian style said i buggered that up proving that she is human just like all of us. Would highly reccomed going to anyone of her shows. She will make you feel like your the only one in the room or steps for that matter.

The concert should have been cancelled or postponed to another date. Nothing was done to prepare the venue for wet weather which was forecasted well in advance. Too many disappointed fans, really unpleasant experience for the artists, performing to miserable, wet audience. Buses worked brilliantly.

This show was everything I thought it was going to be and then some! Missy was so engaging and down to earth. She had the whole audience in stitches with her fantastic anecdotes between each song regarding the next. I don’t think I’ve ever felt such a mix of emotions at any concert I’ve been to prior to this one. Hands down the best performance I’ve had the privilege of attending. Her band and backing vocalists are so diverse, playing many different instruments ranging from cello to trumpets. As for Missy gorgeous voice, it has grown so much since that first album 20 years ago. It’s matured like a fine wine and her range is just phenomenal now. I’ve never been to a seated concert that had everyone in the audience out of their seats for a standing ovation whilst they all took their bow. It was just brilliant and I wish I could go again.

So good been a fan since unearthed! Seen her play a couple of times over the years always amazing tho I must say this time was the brilliant! Audience interaction was amazing getting some insight to her inspiration /and how or why she wrote each particular song was really cool ! Loved it A++ Missy

Missy Higgins is one of Australia’s greatest artists. I was lucky enough to see her live 20 years ago and again on the 31st July 2024. She has grown in confidence so much making the show feel so relaxed and intimate…though the theatre was a sell out.

Missy and her band put on an amazing show. The lighting, stage and sound crew did a fantastic job and as always Missy's vocals were perfection. I think Missy is Australias best ever singer songwriter and her interaction with the audience between songs was pure entertainment. Missy's songs are mainly written based on her life experiences wearing her heart on her sleeve. Missy is the complete package with 20 years of relatable songs that don't age. Looking forward to the new album release and many more hit songs in the future.

Wow! I couldn’t believe it was over so quickly! The stage settings and lights were amazing and Missy did all our favourite songs and more. The intensely heartwarming and at times hilariously funny stories woven through the performance lent just the right amount of personal touch to endear Missy to audiences for many years to come. An amazing musician, singer, story teller and song writer. Well done - we love you Missy!

Ove seen her more tim3s than I can count, including twice on this tour already. Missy is captivating, warm, honest and hearing her live is an honour and a privilege. I guarantee she will not disappoint.

Attended with my husband and daughter and all three agreed it was a amazing experience. Our daughter is 24 and has grown up listening to and admiring Missy. Such an awesome artist. Memorable and moving performance.

Truly an amazing experience to hear live the album that is the soundtrack to my past 20 years. Missy is an engaging performer and such a talented songwriter. Hearing some of her new music was a delight. She is such a storyteller and you can feel every emotion through her songs. Tears streamed down my face for the majority of the gig, just because her songs are so relatable, even though we share different experiences. You’re awesome Missy! I had'nt seen Missy Higgins live since her first album tour 20yrs ago... I had very fond memories of seeing Missy perform in the local town i grew up in, Bangalow A&I Hall where my boyfriend at the time was the drummer in support act; Mick Hart. This concert held at QPac was equally enjoyable as the right venue for Missy's beautiful powerful voice to echo and fill around the space. So impressive half the act simply her voice, piano or guitar and maybe a cello. Such a funny & personable night Missy engaging with the audience, you feel like you get to know her and could be friends.. really enjoyed hearing the story behind the songs that you have listened and loved for all this time. Highly enjoyable, memorable and would recommend 🩷

Best concert we have ever been to. It’s one thing to listen to an album for a couple of decades but then to have an intimate setting with the artist and get to know how real and down to earth they are as the tell their life stories to music is an intensely comforting experience. Well done Missy.

Missy and the band were amazing! A really considered set with very generous story telling. It would have been nice to encourage audience members to just enjoy the moment and not record parts of the show on their phones. The phone lights screens were distracting for others around them. The lighting of the show was an attack on the eyes in the first half with strong lights directed into the audience and harsh transitions between songs.

It is very rare that I have a visceral reaction to a live performance but this… this, was perfection. Flawless vocals and the raw, effortless performance had me spellbound. I felt so privileged to be able to witness this show of my all time favourite album with an artist I greatly admire for both her talent and songwriting but also the relatability of the songs and story. Yes, there were tears, but also great joy and celebration while listening. This album came at a pivotal time in my early 20’s and it took me straight back to all those emotions. The new (and old) music in the first half were such a perfect way to begin the evening with ‘Falling’ an absolute highlight. Missy’s accompanying musicians and vocalists were also incredible and complementary with a stage set and lighting that perfectly framed each song. Truly one of my favourite gigs ever. Thank you for a beautiful experience. [ Oh, and yes… CD’s, vinyl and listening to full albums still is #1 in my world too ;) ]

I have seen Missy more times than I can count. I have tickets to her upcoming Melbourne show later this year and was on a waitlist for tickets on the 28th (my birthday) and 29th. I was lucky enough to get one ticket at 430pm, a few hours before the show and made the drive from Melbourne to Ballarat. It was one of the most spectacular nights of my life. Missy was undeniably brilliant, charismatic, warm, genuine, and impossible not to love! Her first set was captivating and it was such a treat to hear her play all the tracks on Sound of White - a night I will always remember with such joy - Thank you Missy xx

Missy is an absolute gem! Not only is she drop dead gorgeous and really easy to look at but her voice is an absolute power house and out of this world and may very well transport you through space and time even tho you’re standing in one spot screaming her songs 😂💕

Music and stage awesome. Events management need to re-evaluate food. We weren’t allowed to take food in and only six vans. Most ran out of food and we spent 2 hrs waiting to only get a cup of chowder. Missed a lot of music

I have been to every Melbourne concert since missy started and she has blown me away every time. Wow what a performance last night! Missy evolution is a joy. I am a 56 year old male.

awesome show. wonderful performance by missy and her sensational band. professional, tight performance but fun and relaxed at the same time. great songs both new and oldies reworked. don't get better sound, top shelf PA and the sound desk really knew what they were doing.
