Uriah Heep

Holy smokes. I never got into Uriah Heep when I was younger and don't ask me why, it just never happened. Even though the band goes all the way back to 1967 and so came well before the other bands they obviously influenced, they sound to me like a mix of Saxon and Rainbow, with a bit of a Prog sound. The early stuff is definitely from the Heavy Psyche / Heavy Blues scene and reminiscent of very early Deep Purple and early Pink Floyds. Mick Box is one of the most amazing guitarists I have ever seen live, and I have seen most of the greats up until this point. Bernie Shaw is an AMAZING singer live, not especially, but REGARDLESS of his age. Great set of pipes even to this day. And as a special bonus you get Adam Wakeman, son of the famous Rick Wakeman who recorded worked with Yes. I'm a huge Jon Lord fan, and I can totally see Adam stepping into his shoes. Enjoyed the entire show and its nice especially at 60 years old to still learn about "new" music and be surprised and impressed by performances. Time for me to backfill my catalog and catch up now.

Everything I expected! ...and so much more! Wow! Mick & Boys are legendary for a reason...and the rest of us are just not worthy! Saxon?!?!? ...at a lost for words. Holy Mackerel! ...do these gentlemen rule! What an incredible tour, bravo Boys! ...BRAVO

CONCERT WAS GREAT, WE DID A MEET AND GREET WITH BOTH BANDS AND EVERYONE WAS SO NICE WOULD DO AGAIN. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS BAD IS ON MEET AND GREET, WE WERE TO RECEIVE ONE MERCH ITEM FROM BOTH BANDS. LIKE A SHIRT AND NO ONE RECEIVE ITEMS

The show was spectacular. I saw them back in 1973 and I think they’re better now than back then. The “old man” can still tear up that guitar! Absolutely loved the show. First time seeing Saxon and they really rocked the house! Well worth the money, though a seat would have made the show more enjoyable.

I was so surprised at how good the band sounded. Soooo tight, great sound and I loved that Uria Heep played all their classic hits and mixed in 3 new songs from a new album that were great!!! The singer was amazing while hitting all the high notes! You can hear most old rockers not really having their chops but the singing was perfect. this show was incredible!!! You MUST see this show!!!

Overall the Uriah Heep concert was great. Acoustics were not so great with the venue. We have heard better at other concerts of theirs.

i give 5 points because i love Uriah Heep, but i must admit i did not make it to the show at all since they were playing first - which i certainly did not understand, for me Saxon in clearly second league and should have played before Heep. The fact that the concerts started so very early and the fact that Basel has an unsolved traffic issue made us miss the first act. However i looked at the playlist and noticed that Heep played save and focused only on hits and some of the short heavier stuff, which made sense because the audience was rather in rock than prog. But for me i wished to experience once a Heep concert where they play all their epics and 10+ minute versions. That would be my dream.

Was diese alten Herren immer noch vom Hocker reißen ist wirklich beachtlich. Die Jungs haben mit ihren alten Hits die Fans allesamt mitgerissen. Zusammen mit Saxon und Judas Priest war es ein wirklich unvergesslicher Abend.

Suverän konsert!!!! Mycket energi å glädje. De gamla hitsen håller lääääääänge än, men jag börjar bli klar för lite av de nya låtarna. En bland de bästa konserter jag vart på. Tack Heep för en härlig minnesrik kväll. 🤘❤️

Tolles Konzert in einem wunderschönen Park. Uriah Heep haben alles gegeben und die Leute wirklich begeistert. Einziger Negativpunkt: der miserable Sound! Schlecht und kaum abgemischt. Für den Gesang fehlten wohl schlicht die Verstärker.

An emotional and fun-packed show from the maestros of hard rock. This gig was a celebration of 50 years (53 since the band was formed) and split into an acoustic set followed by a full-on powerful electric set covering 32 tracks spanning their extensive catalogue. Not a weak moment in a fabulous 2 1/2 hour set.

Great night at a great venue with good selection of old and new tracks. I was a teenager again for the night! 👍🙏🏻

Brilliant acoustic set to start followed by an outstanding electric performance - played all the old stuff - a manic evening- so much energy and clearly enjoying themselves- just great to see

I go to a lot of gigs and this by far is gig of the year The boys were on top top form Sound quality was excellent Set list brilliant Just amazing this is a proper old school rock band And I’d give 7 stars if that was possible

Very high effort high energy performance, engaged well with the crowd, put on a good show, really enjoyed it. Happy 50th (52nd) Uriah Heep!

It was an awsome concert. Bernie was absolutely top performing. So was of course the others. A smiling Mick through the whole concert. It really seemed like they all enjoyed themselves and that you can hear on the music. The reason for "only" four stars is, that they only play from the newest and then the oldies from the 70'es. Of course it's nice to hear the oldies and Bernie has a fantastic vocal. I think one of their best albums ever is the 2011 album "into the wild" and I whish they'd play more of that🙂

The reason why I -clipped- 0.5 starts is, the crowd were too grumpy and sleepy at the beginning, but after 5-6 songs, everyone got crazy. It was awesome. Please come back in this summer -you promised ;)-!

Fantastic. 71 years old and Mick Box keeps powering Uriah Heep. Almost two hour show and left us wanting more. Old ones. Newer ones. This band may not be the “old” Uriah Heep but they have been together for longer than the original and it shows in the tightness of their show. All great musicians and meshing perfectly. Nothing replaces Heep in their prime but these guys made it so we won’t forget them either. Looking forward to the new album in the fall.

great show i have one suggestion maybe 2 sets with all music available. Id promote and buy this ticket... A+
