About Jack Rabbit Slams
Jack Rabbit Slams is a three man rock band from Glasgow, comprised of Rob McCombie and guitar and vocals, Sean Love on drums and Kristaps Baumanis on bass. The band was formed in early 2016 when two childhood friends Sean and Rob met Kris who had responded to Rob and Sean's online ad looking for a bass player. Magic happened as a track was written during their first jam together and so JRS was born (though initially under the moniker Penny Dreadful which was later abandoned due to multiple bands with such a name already existing).
There was a late 2016 debut EP release, titled Cheap 'n' Nasty which was accompanied by two music videos for the lead singles Insania and Millionaire. These were produced by Shootback, a company that has also worked with artists such as Eagles of Death Metal. With favorable reviews for the EP, JRS went into 2017 with heavy gigging mode on and a lot of central Scotland was covered during.
A new, stand-alone single, titled The Art of Losing Friends, was released in November 2017, immediately followed by a headline show at the Glasgow's famous King Tut Tut's Wah Wah Hut. 2018 holds more gigs, new releases and some festival appearances in store!
