Kalos.

Celtic roots that seek luminous new light. I first heard Kalos play a free set at a public library in Albuquerque and was blown away. The music is traditional enough to feel comfortable, but in the hands of these 3 excellent musicians the songs bend and stretch and take us to surprising new places. The band members are witty and tell great stories and they clearly feed off each other's improvisational energy while playing. This was my first time at Chatter and found the venue to be a very comfortable and yet quite engaging creative space. We'll be back! And we will be on the lookout for more of Kalos.

The show was fantastic, as always. Three incredible musicians who play with infectious joy. I wish they lived closer, I'd go hear them every night!

What a Special ensemble. These guys always deliver an evening of uplift, master craftsmanship in their arrangements, communal joy, humor and passion. Their trad-c*m-contemporary tunes and their individual and combined virtuosity make audiences yelp, clap, laugh and exclaim aloud while they blaze … Also, three nicer blokes you may never meet. Don’t miss’m next time. Thank you, Kalos, for another memorable show.
