Nathan Johnston

After 6 years performing under his stage name with soul-pop project 'Sion Hill,' and touring Europe with the likes of Pete Doherty, A-ha and Alice Merton along with sold out shows across Germany, the U.K. and Ireland, Johnston bought back the rights to new songs from his former record label and has now gone independent.

After meeting Hamburg based soul band, 'Angels of Libra' in 2020, the band teamed up to release their first LP - 'Nathan Johnston & the Angels of Libra' (2022.)

The first single off the album is the moody and seductive “Angel Of Libra” which was released on June 3rd 2022 with Berlin-based label Waterfall Records, and received heavy airplay on Radio Eins (Radio 1) in Germany.

The second single, 'All Your Love' was released on August 26th, a groovy uptempo soul track featuring vocals reminiscent of Anderson Paak. The band received its first U.K. airplay when the song debuted on BBC Radio 6 on the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show. ‘All Your Love’ achieved significant playlisting success on spotify along with heavy rotation on Italian radio Contatto for 4 weeks in a row.

The full 10 track record, 'Nathan Johnston & The Angels of Libra' is was released on November 4th, 2022. and is available on limited edition vinyl online from selected stores.

The band have since gone on to release two more albums - 'Revelations' (2023) and 'Maiiah & The Angels of Libra' (2023) with a brand new record set for release later this year.

In 2024, The Angels of Libra toured Europe on their 'Back to Basics Tour' with Johnston on vocals and a collection of guest musicians appearing on various stages along the way.

Johnston is gearing up to release his own solo record in late 2024 and a new Angels album is in the pipeline for 2025.
