At his young age of 20, JT Soul had so many milestones in his career, especially with his 2019 EP Goodbye, Lightspeed, a blend of Pop, R&B and Hip-Hop. Born to a Peruvian-Portuguese family, his name comes from his childhood street name Jean-Talon claiming the soul of Montre?al’s east-end. Taking stage at only 15 JT switches between melodies to a seamless rap flow with ease, while his vocals have a unmistakably unique tone giving him an advantage.

After signing to his label ODDIO, JT released a vast catalogue, including 3 EP’s, and a slew of singles, videos, interviews and shows, as well as a #10 debut in France and #18 in Canada on the R&B charts for his debut EP 372 ; Velvet Tears. Everything changed after releasing his single LOUD, which amassed over 300k plays and proved JT’s sonic direction and quality are on a higher scale, while featuring on productions like dancehall, funk/jazz, neo-soul, and electronic.

His most recent release, the Goodbye, Lightspeed EP, proved to be a pivotal one for JT's musical career where he found new ground when it comes to vocal range and goes from deep melancholy to vibrant falsettos with ease. The title refers to an ending of a chapter and moving forward at full pace. Alongside his producer myDirtyhaircut they garnered attention from the likes of Vice, Complex, HipHopDX, HotNewHipHop and even the cover of Spotify's Northern Bars playlist.
