Malevolent Force is: Josue Barraza - Drums, Vocals Camilo Picaz - Guitars Joshua Kamalei Ross-Ho'opi'i - Bass, Vocals Stephan Trejo - Guitars, Vocals Started back in 2009 by Josue and Stephan, the band has it's roots in straight-forward thrash metal with influences of death, black, and hardcore punk. They recruited Joshua on bass and main vocals and John Fernandez of local band Annihilist on lead guitar and released a demo in 2011. Not long afterwards, John left to join Legion (now Mastema). The band then welcomed long-time friend Miguel Quiroz on lead guitar and released another demo in 2013. With the addition of Miguel, the band took on a heavier, dirtier sound. Unfortunately, scheduling factors got in the way and Miguel had to leave the band. He is still behind the scenes and helps with guitar work, photography, and graphic layouts. With the lead guitar slot open, the band enlisted the shredding talents of Camilo from neighboring locals Toxic Steel. Camilo's addition brought a more speed metal vibe to the dark, heavy sound and the band released Descent Into The Abyss, the band's first full length album in January 2015. The band is working on a self-recorded, self-produced demo (Age of Aggression) scheduled for release for Summer 2016. Gulf Coast Thrash Metal from Houston T.X.
