About Paul Ramirez & The Lost Vaqueros "Cowboys"

Once you listen to Paul Ramirez's music, you're likely to be hooked because it's something special. His music career started at the tender young age of 14 while playing bass in Cantinas in South Texas with Conjunto bands. He then moved to Austin, Texas in 1984 and began playing with numerous local bands playing Tejano, Country & Rock music.

In 1989, Paul ventured out to Los Angeles in search of a new sound and released his first full CD entitled SUMMER WINDS in 1992. He then relocated back to Austin, Texas in 1994 and recorded & released his second CD entitled WILD HORSE ROAD all the while playing in Sixth Street venues with his full band of professional musicians.

October 3, 1994 was proclaimed as PAUL RAMIREZ DAY in Austin, Texas. He was given a Proclamation Plaque by the Mayor of the city, Bruce Todd and he & his band played for the Mayor and the City Council. The performance was shown on Public Access.

A twenty-year hiatus provided time to reflect about what’s important - family & friends and now Paul Ramirez reemerges with a new sound and back in Austin, Texas. In fact, the impeccable songwriting on his third CD is a testament to that new energy and a new direction. WHICH WAY TO GO, which was released in 2010, presents a solid collection of songs that flow with lyrics, melody & a hook and Ramirez’s unique brand of Americana, infused with Rock, Latin, Tejano and Country influences. The production textures are superb throughout, from the Latin groove of ‘Taking In The Sun’ to the rolling country-rock of ‘Which Way To Go’ to the rumbling, Folksy 'Getaway Place’. LOOK AT ME was released in 2012 and is his fourth CD in his discography and with songs like "A Love You'll Never Know" and "Look At Me" even the finickiest listener is sure to be pleased.

Paul Ramirez is a Musician, Singer/Songwriter and a Record Producer for his record label Nu Latin Records and he currently lives in Austin, Texas and plays solo gigs and with his band "The Lost Vaqueros" at bigger venues.
