Torpedoed Heart

Crawling out of the filthy waters of Buffalo Bayou, Torpedoed Heart emerged in April 2016 in the blazing heat of Houston’s concrete spring. With influences ranging from Alanis Morissette, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Johnny Cash, it can be difficult to categorize their rock with a touch of country sound, but they've honed in on something simultaneously familar and original. Singer-songwriter Nicole Starch teams up with Moskie Woskie on bass and Mary Walenta on drums and background vocals to transform Starch’s lilting yet angry lyrics and melodies into a stomp-worthy romping party. They have hopes to record their first album, tentatively labeled “Razors ’n Rye” before fall of 2017. Sometimes soulful, sometimes gritty, always honest. Houston-based band that's a little bit country and a lotta bit rock 'n roll.
