About Nune Melik
Described by the legendary Maxim Vengerov as owner of the “violinistic hands so close to perfection” and “an extremely talented and promising musician”, Nune Melikian is one of the most noted violinists of her generation.
A winner of AGBU Performing Arts Fellowship 2013-2014, Nune Melikian is a top prize of various international competitions including the Oistrakh International Competition in Moscow; the Andrea Postacchini International Competition; LISMA Foundation International competition, University of Montreal Concerto Competition. She has performed in venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, Merkin City Hall and the Bolshoy Hall.
Nune has studied in the Central Music School with Galina Turchaninova. Later she has completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Gnessin Music College, with an Honors Diploma. Then she enrolled in the Moscow Conservatory as one of the top five contenders and completed two semesters with the highest marks. In 2009 Nune moved to Canada in order to complete a Master’s Degree under the guidance of Vladimir Landsman. She became the youngest student enrolled to the Program.

She is a grant-holder and participant in a number of Armenian projects and awards, such as Perspectives-2009 and Urartu-2010 (Moscow, Russia).as well as a member of the Futuro Project, which aims to gather together and connect young professionals with bright prospects.
