Drawing from a prolific catalog of highly eclectic originals and obscure covers, TLK drags every song through the parking lot of a late-night Midtown bar, down Madison Avenue, to the Banks of The River, then back around to Binghampton before you even realize what hit you!
The presentation is bold & brazen; the songs are clever, stylish, and brutally honest; the band is pure - guitar, bass, & drums; liquor drenched n wild-eyed - The Lesser Known are ANYTHING but boring!
Singer/Guitarist JB Whalen was born & raised in Memphis
Drummer Killis 'Awl' is from Monroe Looszhiana (that's how he says it)
Simon is from Nowhere and is NOT a member of the band
TLK recorded their debut EP 'Our Best Colours' in 2016, and features the single "Masochist". Recorded at Ardent Studios and Engineered by Adam Hill, this album is deeply dipped in Ritual Memphis Blood. Soaked in Sin, Lost in Love, Lust, & Loss, this compilation of Wretchedly Beautiful Refrains Resonate with Human Conditions familiar to all.
