Quote the Raven were fantastic! Baraka opened for them and was also great! The show was a great length and I liked how they did an acoustic first set then had the full band come on in the second. The only thing that took away from the show was the sound technicians. They should really have adjusted the sound for the high notes and louder pieces. And I also liked the setup with the round tables which made it more intimate and less like a cold arena show.

About Quote The Raven

Quote the Raven consisting of Kirsten Rodden-Clarke and Jordan Coaker have been charming audiences with haunting harmony and a deadpan humour for the better part of a decade. The pair marry Americana Folk Music with East Coast banter for a show that takes listeners on a journey into the lives of a small town touring band. With an extensive tour history over the past few years the duo have travelled all around Canada, performing at some major festivals as well as performing in Trinidad, Germany and showcasing at Americanafest in Nashville. That trip to Nashville in 2019 solidified their entry into the Americana genre, which became the starting point for their sophomore release titled “Can’t Hold the Light”. The 2022 ECMA Contemporary/Roots recording of the year is a collection of songs written with friends all around Canada documenting the trials and tribulations felt by the pair prior to the pandemic with many of the tracks taking on new meaning with its onset. With multiple songs landing on the CBC SiriusXM Country top 40, and in the BDS Canadian Country top 100 the group have continued to grow their following throughout the past two years. The 2021 MusicNL group of the year is preparing for a massive return to the road performing at multiple Western and Eastern Canadian Festivals this summer. They’ll be sharing the stage with the likes of Donovan Woods, The Bros. Landreth, Molly Tuttle, Lord Huron, Matt Andersen, Kathleen Edwards, and Steve Earle among many others.
