Gaz and Mart played awesome sets, but it was far too busy (dangerously so at times). Another academy gig oversold

So good to hear his songs played all stripped back. As he told the crowd he was playing everything in its original form before they morph in the studio. A true talent and timeless voice.

A brilliant night, he was in fine voice , just a talented nice guy entertaining people with brilliant music

I had a great evening watching Gaz and his band in Brighton earlier this year and did not want to pass up the opportunity to see him do his solo show on my doorstep in Worthing. Great songs by a master musician and singer, it was an all round a great night out not in any way spoiled by a minor tech issue which he took in his stride and actually played to his advantage. He also took the time to meet and great after the show. Top man!

Excellent gig, Gaz performed effortlessly, one of the best live performances I’ve been to. Loved the small venue which created atmospheric vibes which was perfect for the set list Gaz performed.

Gaz Coombes has clearly tapped in to his source of creativity and it just keeps on giving. His talent and ear for producing quality tunes, is unrivalled by his peers. There is a clear personal evolution in his music today that is both soulful and deeply meaningful on so many levels, and marks a clear difference from the days of Supergrass. Both Gaz and his band of talented musicians including backing vocals are at the top of their game, delivering tight sets, rehearsed to near perfection. Rapturous standing ovation to Gaz and the band!

Band was on great form and sounded fantastic, excellent sound system Venue was good perhaps a bit difficult to get a good viewing point as I arrived late and everyone was crammed into the space in front of stage

A brilliant gig, Gaz's voice is outstanding, his vocal range is literally off the scale, the size of venue makes it even more special. They have clearly rehearsed alot, as it was a really tight set. His new album is quality. He also played a couple of songs from Matador, for old times sake, including 20 20, my personal favourite. Highly recommend going to see him, massively underrated as an artist. Dave Wandsworth

Gaz Coombes’ current body of solo work is incredible, and if this gig was anything to go by the forthcoming album “Turn the car around” will be superb. Vocally, lyrically and musically he is quite superb. Topped off with a great band, smashing venue and atmosphere. Would highly recommend seeing him on tour in 23, we will.

A great evening hearing the band live putting together the results of hard yards travelled in the rehearsal space to a live audience for tue first time. It was a great performance especially to be able to witness them figuring things out as they went through the show. The new tracks sounded awesome and it was good to hear Some older tunes again. Great night.

Excellent evening. First time in this venue, great place. Not the first time seeing Gaz Coombes, always brilliant, a very talented guy.

Melancholic set list and a lot of people who didn't know the music, so lots of chatter which spoilt it for those who did want to listen! So not one of the best gigs.

This is the 4th time I’ve been to one of Gaz’s gigs & been to many Supergrass This was one of my favourites along with The Garage a few years ago - great small intimate venues

A great gig, such a talented guy I’ve seen him 3 times and he just gets better, drinks were good value at the newhamption arts centre

Superb gig. Full band and 3 backing singers. Special as always. Saw him on his own at the Brickyard, Carlisle and as exciting as it was last night just seeing him on his own was every bit as wonderful.

Great gig, bit disappointed he never played one of the songs I was hoping for but the songs he played were all fantastic, loved oxygen mask, the girl who fell to earth and my new favourite, vanishing act. The band were excellent, the drummer was great and loved the backing singers, very classy

Man, Gaz is easily one of the most underrated artists working today, just as he was when Supergrass was still together. He put on an amazing show...what a voice! So happy I finally got to see him. The Echo is a pretty sweet venue.

superb as ever. voice sounded great and enjoyed the new songs. Hope to see him in a few months on his spring tour.

soo good!!! I loved it, the only bad thing is that it was too short, hour and 15 min, maybe. .. hopefully he comes again soon
