Gorillaz

Dearest Gorillaz, It’s the music that we choose that can bring us back to life and I am just one of the many examples. I was in a car accident on Black Friday in November of 2002. A passerby noticed my car in the ditch and called 911. I was flown by LifeFlight to Miller-Dwan Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota and immediately underwent a craniotomy to reduce the swelling in my brain. I was placed in a medically induced coma for a month. While my brain was recovering at a snail’s pace, my parents played all of my favorite music. When I came out of my coma I could not read or write or walk, but I knew almost all of the lyrics from those special songs. Music lifted me out of this deep sleep and music continued to push me forward and persevere and never give up. Thank all of you for helping me endure and overcome! Thanks also, Mr. Albarn, for waving to us in the very top rows. I requested anything by “The Gorillaz” on DC 101 the night before, and Alex Mac, the super-cool DJ, chose “Feel Good Inc.” to get me pumped up. He also told me to have TWICE as much fun at the show for him. I had TEN TIMES as much fun and brought home that night memories that will last a lifetime.

This was the best experience I have had in my life. I was a row behind the barricade waving a tiny 2D plush in my hand for nearly the whole show. This was also my first ever show and it was such a good introduction to concerts in general for me! I was also so tired afterwards from all the singing and jumping I was doing. If I have the chance, I’ll definitely get a VIP pass or something similar if Gorillaz plays in this area or in northern Florida again! I also didn’t realize people cosplayed at concerts, definitely a must do for myself next time!! :D

For my first ever concert, this is one of the best that I have ever been to. I did not expect them to play pink phantom, but I am so happy that they did. Next time I will probably buy VIP tickets because this concert was way better than general admission. It was full of passion, electric feeling from both the audience and the musicians on stage along with Damon. Definitely an experience I will never forget.

Que dire que dire c'était mon premier festival à moi et ma copine et franchement on a adoré ça c'était incroyable et une ambiance franchement magnifique et gorillaz que dire a part qu'il était juste parfait nan c'est un sans faute pour moi et concernant musilac je pense que je vais revenir

J'adore Gorillaz mais je n'étais pas forcément très confiant sur ce que cela pouvait donner en concert et j'ai été très agréablement surpris. On sent que pas mal de morceaux sont bien retravaillés justement pour ajouter une énergie supplémentaire, je pense à Rhinestone Eyes qui est sympa en version studio mais vraiment beaucoup plus puissante en live. Des invités et musiciens de qualité, les écrans géants avec toute la bande derrière qui sont toujours aussi appréciables. Seul petit point qui pourrait être amélioré selon moi : l'alternance de chansons avec le style "mégaphone" et sans. Pendant plusieurs chansons Damon chante avec cet effet c'est vrai qu'à la longue ça peut être un peu saoulant d'entendre cette voix monotone pendant un aussi long moment, alterner les chansons sans cet effet pourrait être intéressant.

It was amazing! We got to see Damon and he went off the stage multiple times. I cried of joy so much, because I have lit known gorillaz since I was 3 when my mom showed me DARE. I don't know if Damon actually saw my noodle mask and smiled at it but even if he smiled at another person that made me hyped up. I loved the concert along with my mom, but we had to leave 30 minutes before the ending because I was very thirsty and we didn't have water, we were listening to the ongoing musics from far away tho🥹

It was amazing!! This is the first gig I've ever been to, and it was actually incredible. It was even better than I was expecting. You could feel the bass in your chest. I waited 6 months, and it was so unbelievably worth it. My brother, who wasn't a massive Gorillaz fan before this, said it was the best gig he's ever been to.

genuinely the best concert i have ever been to. the energy and the vibes of the stadium were unreal and the stage presence of every single performer was amazing. i loved every single second of it and i got to hear some of my all time favourite songs from older albums. i can’t wait for them to tour again because i just might have to get tickets next time :D

Great venue show was unbelievable a little to loud which drowned out the words to the song all I heard after going deaf was the base beat and no words sat next a man who was ill now I have the flu the woman to the left by a couple of seats had a medical emergency an throughout the entire show I had a security lady stand in front so couldn't watch the show to well (see photo) brilliant show was put on and seeing sparks as well was great would have put 5 stars if it wasn't for the lady in front

Le concert débuta donc par The Mountain suivie de The Happy Dictator puis est arrivée une succession de standards comme Tranz, 19/2000, Rhinestone Eyes pour continuer un peu plus tard entre autres par On Melancholy Hill, Orange County (avec Kara Jackson), With Love to an ex, Stylo (avec Yaslin Bay), Garage Palace (avec Little Simz) et sans oublier Fatoumata Diawara chantant sur Désolé, on finit sur par la grosse cavalerie, Dirty Harry (avec Bootie Brown), The Shadowy Light, Feel Good Inc (avec Pos - De La Soul) et Clint Eastwood pour conclure un show énorme et hors norme.

Amazing experience with Damon Albarn et al on top form. Can't fault the show with some 23 songs (not incl. support act by Trueno). Most of the songs from The Mountain, as well as old favourites including Clint Eastwood, Kids With G**s, On Melancholy Hill and Feel Good (feat. De La Soul's Kelvin Mercer AKA Pos).

Gorillaz gig was amazing absolutely loved it & the security were really great at getting us that had been queuing all day in fairly, thanks guys but, the security at the front took a long time to start giving out water to the front rows & only gave it out a couple of times, 3 at most in total & it was very hot it definitely needed to be given more frequently but, that is the only thing that let the venue down.

Great venue , quick entry and good security at Bradford Live . The show was amazing and songs beautifully performed especially new ones and ballad types. Older stuff was equally good, I would defo see this show again but this venue is fab as not too big & gorgeous building so glad they didn’t knock it down!!! Everyone please go and see Gorillaz on the new Mountain tour , it’s well worth it and you can dance your sox off !!!

Saw Gorillaz on Sept 3rd after seeing the KONG studios exhibition on the 1st. Awesome first doodles of Noodle and the crew. Incredibly immersive studio, narration including. The gig was all new songs from a new phase - very exciting and spiritual. A DJ from De La Soul was the first set on the side followed by another cool DJ with really nice interesting beats. Jamiroquai and Khruangbin songs were heard. Damon Albarn in military wear. Jamie Hewlett came out at the end with all the band and some crew which was wonderful. Damon was thrown a Keffiyeh and wore it which won cheers of love and positive rage from the crowd. No old songs were played. Guy from IDLES had a song and a rapper had several, maybe only some of his own, but throughout brilliant flow and lyricism pertained. I feel powerful. The graphics were awesome, the whole band looks stunning. Kali was featured in Hewlett style. Quite wholly Eastern psychedelic inspired and justly. Sitar was heavily mixed in with horns and one specific wind instrument that flowed perfectly. Drummers were class and the bassists had lots of fun. Paul Simonon was pretty funny and the guy who said “ha” a lot. Singer in a golden shawl like dress was smooth like the ocean. Free Palestine.

was an incredible show! my boyfriend bought me VIP tickets and the sears were absolutely amazing! I've been into gorillaz since I was 14 and going to see them has been a dream since and thankfully my boyfriend made it a reality! Damon and the others were amazing and the crowd was amazing (getting sick after the show was totally worth 10/10)

i remember seeing stylo and dare playing on MTV long ago and as a kid thinking it was the coolest and most unique thing ever. last night i finally got to see them after being a fan for 2 decades and was amazed by their consistency and creativity. it was my childhood dream come true!

I have been a long time fan of Gorillaz since my childhood. My husband surprised me with lawn tickets to this show to celebrate our first wedding anniversary a little early and honestly? This was the best gift ever!!!!!!! It was incredible to jam out to Désolé, Feel Good Inc., Melancholy Hill, and both versions of Clint LIVE! And the guest artists who were there as well as the opener (Earthgang)? Just impeccable! I can’t wait for the next tour already. Next time, we’ll go hard in the pit instead of just going hard on the lawn! LOVE YOU ALWAYS, GORILLAZ!!!

There was a lot of echo in the area we were sitting. Literally could have had a better sound experience listening with headphones at home. It's a shame because I spent over $100 a ticket for lower bowl. It was still a lot of fun and the visuals were amazing 👏 I would go again, but be super careful about where to sit! Make sure there are no walls near you for sound to bounce off of 🙄

This was my first concert i ever been too and i was amazed, like i still can't believe i saw Gorillaz play. I feels like it was a dream and it wad INDESCRIBABLE, even tho i couldn't stay til the very end it was fun. The merch is worth it too, only had $40 bucks so i got a fanny pack and a glow stick with'gorillaz' on it. I also had to travel from Vegas to see them it was a crazy day before going, was super close to not going to make it to the show, but im glad i did!

I couldn’t go because I am broke, but I SAW THE LIVE STREAMS AND I FELT LIKE IF I WAS THERE YOU GUYS WERE AMAZING!!! Even if I didn’t go I still felt the energy you guys gave out from my home hopefully you will do demon dayz again in 10 years!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖👌👌👌🌟🌟🌟🌺🌺🌺
