About Arnan Raz
Arnan Raz was born in Kibbutz Merchavia, a small communal village in the north of Israel to a musical family. His grandfather Abraham Talmi was a music teacher and painter, his uncle, Yoav Talmi a famous conductor, and his mom, Hedi Raz, and his brother, Roi Raz both are professional guitar players.
Arnan Raz’s new band is a rhythmic exploration through Jazz, Afro-Cuban and Middle-Eastern music.
Arnan has received international exposure when his first album “Second To The Left” (2016) and his second album “Chains Of Stories” (2018), both received great reviews all around the world. His last album “7 Days' - A Latin/Cuban Jazz album (Feb 2021) received great reviews as well and tens of thousands plays on Spotify. Currently, Arnan is based in NY and working on releasing new music with various new and exciting groups in 2022.
Along with his friends, Arnan Raz is a founder of the label Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit Records which has helped to promote their music globally.
Besides his own led groups, Arnan is a member in “The Side Project” - a Saxophone Quartet, who has opened for the New York Philharmonic at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY (2017). Arnan continues to perform with different musicians and bands in NYC from Jazz to Indie Rock and Hip Hop.
“I want to focus on sound. I believe that the sound of the instrument has the power in reaching people’s hearts. My goal is to communicate with the audience on a “real level”. Music can express feelings and ideas that words can’t”.
