About Satellite Mode

Brooklyn-based outfit Satellite Mode (Jessica Carvo, Alex Marko) combine traditional singer/songwriter roots with dance beats to create party protest music that cuts through the haze of modern life to foster connection. Their first widely released single—“Wild Excuses,” recorded in 2017—coupled lead singer Carvo’s powerful voice with the band’s emotive lyrics to draw in a loyal following, which only grew as the band toured to play intimate shows in living room-style settings and local bars.

Their latest EP—“Kill the Choreography,” produced by Sam Cohen (Danger Mouse, Sharon Van Etten) weaves complex instrumental layers with these same clear vocals to create songs that call for clarity and purposeful living in a detached world. The band is showcasing this analog album with a digital feel on their first major national tour of 2020.
