Sub Shanti is changing for 2012... . Sub Shanti was formed by SaumG and Dex, however since Dex's departure in 2011, Sub Shanti has been reformed by SaumG. On stage Saum G plays Cello and Mixes banging beats as well as sings. SaumG is an electronic producer of dance manifestations. He has an innate ability to bring his electronic techniques to life through a talent that is hard to match. In addition to his technical production abilities, Saum plays live cello at every performance. Saum studied with prestigious master Hans Jorgen Jensen at the Meadowmount School of Music, where Yo Yo Ma and other notable artists learned. If Sub Shanti isn’t lounging in their home studio’s, they are likely to be found rocking crowds. Sub Shanti not only offers us amazing music through the expertise of SaumG's musical training and production abilities, but provides the audience with a unique show. Inspired by an abundance of talent, Sub Shanti draws influence from national electronic acts like Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, DeadMau5, Tipper, Rusko and Sphongle while maintaining a balance of global music influences like Ravi Shankar, Bickram Ghosh, Zakhir Hussein, and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.
