About Kevin Cox
Kevin Cox’s debut album explores the full spectrum of emotions during a time of transition. The In-Between is a journey from the messy, difficult feelings of transition to a place where we belong. Along the way, we hear stories of loss, finding shelter, and of turning that shelter into hope and positivity. The album features a balance of distorted and purer guitar tones to accompany lyrics that elicit a sense of longing for arrival in a place with more certainty.
Upon graduating from Ursinus College in May 2015, things felt bittersweet for Kevin. He didn’t know exactly what was next professionally, and he was watching his close friends spread throughout the country and world. While trying to move on from the positives that were left behind, Kevin also discovered the beauty in the freedom of what lay ahead and in the people he had by his side. He used this freedom and support to write his first full-length album and to pair up with Chris Cachuela, owner of Chaplin’s in Spring City, PA, to make the songs come to life in the way we will hear on March 11. Chris co-produced, mixed, and mastered the album.
