About DJ it me
Born and raised in California but transplanted to Seattle in 2015, Jake Devincenzi, (aka. it me or IT ME) is an eclectic musical contortionist, mixing everything from trap to future bass, minimal house to hardstyle, and 90’s theme songs to Disney soundtracks. Raised on alternative rock, Jake ventured off on his own musical journey in high school where he would spend hours on end scouring the internet for new hip-hop mixtapes from the likes of Kid Cudi, Asher Roth, and Childish Gambino.
Upon moving to California’s central coast to study aerospace engineering, it me was introduced to dubstep, drumstep, and DnB, but it wasn’t until his sophomore year that electronic music took hip-hop’s place, due largely in part to Porter Robinson’s Spitfire album released on his 19th birthday. After that, Jake spent 5 years bouncing from concert to rave to festival, finally landing him behind the decks all across the Seattle area in mid-2016.
Routinely seen in top Seattle nightclubs as Q and Foundation, as well as at underground raves thrown by his company AWOL Events, IT ME brings a style that spans all sub-genres of electronic music. With high-energy sets, often mashing together 4 songs at once, IT ME shoots to break down genre barriers and bring new sounds to all music fans. Club-goers routinely find themselves drawn out of their comfort zones, dancing to genres they didn't even know existed.
