About Fuzed Worship

Growing up the son of a worship leader and playing on church worship teams, I have lived a life of worship for as long as I can remember. I started playing music at 5 or 6 years old and it’s been a part of my life ever since. Three days out of high school I started working for Joyce Meyer Ministries and toured around the world playing bass and writing songs for them for about ten years. At about the ten year mark I went out and tried to get a record deal with a band and it just wasn’t God’s plan. We had everything going for us but we just couldn’t catch a break. So confused and a bit wounded, I came back to JMM and started seeking God for the next phase of my life. In the next five years God led me through all kinds of ups and downs and through a real journey of the heart. I started leading worship at Element Church where I really grew as a worship leader. But then God had me fast music for a year and just focus on knowing Him and for once in my life, not be so concerned with my “calling” and gifts. It felt like absolutely nothing made sense in my journey. I even felt abandoned by God at times. And I would constantly wonder: God, why would you put all of this desire and passion in my heart for something and then refuse to let me live it out? And now you want me to fast music? Then God gave me hope. Someone said to me....“Nate, just do what God puts in your hand and it will lead to what’s in your heart.” Wow! What a relief that was! I didn’t have to strive and try to figure out the plans of God anymore. I just had to do what He put in front of me. After all, my life is not my own. God gave me two beautiful children in those years and really brought us together as a family. And then He birthed Fuzed Worship. Fuzed Worship allowed me to write songs, release worship projects all over the world and lead worship at some amazing conferences and events. I am incredibly grateful to God and The Meyer Family for allowing me to be a part of it. We really did get to live out our dreams and do things we never thought possible. But after our third recording project, tragedy struck my family. In July of 2014 my late wife Dana was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer. It was growing very quickly and by August 2014 it had moved to her liver and graduated to stage 4. By the grace of God I was able to cancel everything we were doing and take care of my family. I stood by Dana’s side treatment after treatment and became her full time care giver. After many rounds of chemo, radiation, feeding tubes and surgeries, her body just simply couldn’t take anymore. September 19th, 2015, at 2:01pm, she went home to be with Jesus at age 37. Needless to say, this was a devastating blow to our family and the visions and dreams we once had. But God has been incredibly faithful to us. The overwhelming love and support from God’s people has been a constant source of strength and shelter to us. Best of all, we got to stand back and watch The Lord glorify Himself through our lives - even in our darkest hour. Literally thousands of people have been touched by our story and we received messages daily of people coming to Christ or God granting them faith for their struggle by witnessing His faithfulness in ours. By the grace of God I was able to speak and lead worship at Dana’s funeral and we celebrated the God that gave her life. It was a beautiful moment. In November of 2015 something amazing happened. A beautiful and gracious woman came into my life and stole my heart. This is a story only the Lord could write. Amy was the funeral director that sat with Dana and planned her funeral. She loved on my kids and helped us through the hardest time of our lives. Through a series of crazy events, we fell in love and were married. God has done so much in such a short time it has really built an incredible story. Together we have 5 children and two dogs. There is never a dull moment. January 1, 2014 God gave me a word for our family to stand on - for His glory, by His grace. We have stood on that through the storm and will continue to stand on it for the rest of our journey. He is sovereign and we have a trust in Him like we’ve never had before. As Fuzed Worship ended and I resigned from Joyce Meyer Ministries the Lord led us to a new season. I am now a Creative Pastor at Element Church and continuing to write worship songs and a book about our story. We are moving forward as the Lord leads and seeking Him for the strength and peace we need each day. God has a plan and we trust He will lead us onward, for His glory, by His grace. Nate Edmonds is a worship leader with a passion to see Christ glorified through his life and songs.
