About Dramalove
Twins Diego and Riccardo Soncin started a dream called NoGravity in 2007, in Turin (Italy) on the footsteps of their older brothers who used to play in an Italian rock band. They’re joined on the drums by Luca Menegon, from Bassano Del Grappa.
Initially, the band played cover from Nirvana, Placebo, Muse and Smashing Pumpkins. But, on discovery of another band rebranded as Dramalove and commenced the creation of their own original material.
The name Dramalove represents the balance between good and evil, light and dark, love and fear.
"Nothing in the Universe can exist without balance; ultimately, we could not experience life without death." in Diego's words.
Originally from north Italy, where they've reached the semi-finals of the Italian X-Factor and had the opportunity to team up with well-known artists such as Skin from Skunk Anansie and 2008 BRIT Award Winner Mika, the two twin brothers relocated to the U.K. to make their dreams come true in what they believe is the homeland of rock music.
Their energy and unique sound propelled them to gain a dedicated following and to headline well known venues such as the Ramsgate Music Hall and the Tunbridge Wells Forum, tour the country with pub gigs and get hosted by Mark Beaumont on his NME Presents nights in London. They soon received support from BBC Introducing and words of praise from major music outlets.
"These guys have a big sound made for big stages; like listening to the raw energy of early Muse with perhaps more passion." - Lisa Higgins, The Guardian
Despite being a three-piece band, Dramalove creates a much fuller sound with complex rhythms, powerful bass lines and big guitar riffs.
Classic Rock Magazine put them in their Best New Bands 2019 CD Compilation with the song "Busy Saving The World".
Their upcoming mixtape is called "Dark Futures", due to be out in June 2023 and anticipated by the brand new single "Sorry If I Love You”, available on the Dramalove official VEVO channel.
