A Brighter Bloom

A Brighter Bloom is the culmination of the combined musical journey of Todd Aldrich, Lauren Onica and TJ Rankin. Lauren and Todd started creating music together in 2014 after meeting at a local open mic. Their shared love of harmony quickly turned into a love for one another. TJ joined on bass guitar, rounding out the sound of their duo with his distictive rhythm and style. Writing music together came easily and the three released their first collection of music in 2017 with a self-titled EP. With a new collection of songs set to release in 2019, A Brighter Bloom continues to expand their reach, playing all over their home state of Michigan while never forgetting their Northern Michigan roots.

Todd, Lauren and TJ use a unique combination of percussive layers and soaring harmonies to forge their delicate, yet robust style. They use their blended voices and intruments at hand to create a musical experience that bids you to stomp. A brighter Bloom's songs are heavily influenced by their reflections on their own lives: Who they are, who they used to be, and what each of life's experiences has taught them along the way.
