Aline Duran

Em um mundo onde as mulheres são comparadas a imperatrizes, uma delas tem caminhado entre a livre auto expressão e o mistério, entre ser atraente sem ferir a própria dignidade, e acima de tudo, ser determinada, mantendo uma postura de vulnerabilidade. Aline Duran é tudo isso e muito mais. Nascida em São Paulo, Aline Duran cresceu ouvindo Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Freddie Mercury e Janis Joplin, bem como Bob Marley e Jimmy Cliff. Mas aos 12 anos, ela desenvolveu uma paixão pelo reggae depois de descobrir artistas como Ini Kamoze, Third World, Shaggy, e Born Jamericans, que realizavam uma fusão de reggae, hip hop, soul e jazz. Ela começou a escrever canções aos 15 anos como uma forma de expressar seus pensamentos e emoções, e cantava eventualmente em uma banda com seus primos. Decidiu levar a música a sério aos 19 anos, quando ela se matriculou na Escola Cristã de Música, além de se juntar ao Coral USP. Aos 21 anos, ela se tornou backvocal em uma banda de reggae, onde mergulhou fundo no mundo da música jamaicana. Depois de um tempo, ela decidiu deixar a banda para seguir carreira solo, e começou a escrever e produzir as canções que mais tarde se tornariam parte do seu álbum de estreia. Em 2004, ela se apresentou em vários shows e eventos culturais na cidade de São Paulo; mais notavelmente, o "Grito Cultural Reggae", que atraiu mais de 80.000 pessoas no Estádio do Pacaembu. Através de sua presença de palco marcante, ela começou a ganhar terreno no cenário musical na América do Sul. Ela representou o Brasil no "Dynamic Reggae Soundclash" na Argentina, uma oportunidade que lhe rendeu várias viagens posteriores ao país. Nesse mesmo ano, Aline lançou o single, "Sorrir pra mim ", e se apresentou na" Virada Cultural 2011 " em São Paulo, com Mad Professor, e no " Boarding Film Festival ", um festival de cinema da Argentina. Em 2012, ela foi convidada pela UOL para participar de um tributo aos Rolling Stones, e gravou sua própria versão de "Love is strong" do álbum Voodoo Lounge. Em 2013, ela gravou uma versão de "Can’t Buy Me Love", em um dueto com Andrew Tosh, sendo destaque ao lado de alguns dos principais artistas do reggae internacional para o álbum "Tributo Reggae aos Beatles". No mesmo ano, ela ganhou um prêmio no "Melhores do Reggae", como a melhor artista feminina por votação do público. Em 2014, seu segundo álbum "Sente o Som" foi lançado. Ele incluiu a música "I Believe in You", um dueto com Bunny Rugs, vocalista da renomada banda Third World. Também foi convidada para atuar no filme "Um Salve Doutor", e sua música "Bem-vindo à selva" foi adicionada à trilha sonora do longa-metragem. As a child in her native São Paulo, Brazil, Aline Duran grew up listening to Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Freddie Mercury and Janis Joplin, as well as Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff. But by age 12, she had developed a passion for reggae after discovering Ini Kamoze, Third World, Shaggy, and Born Jamericans: artists who were pursuing a fusion of reggae, hip hop, soul and jazz. She began writing songs at age 15 as a way to express her thoughts and emotions, and sang in a band with her cousins, but did not take performing seriously until age 19 when she enrolled at the Christian School of Music, in addition to joining the USP Choir. When she was 21, she became a background vocalista in a reggae band, which further exposed her to the world of Jamaican music. After a while she decided to leave the band to pursue a solo career, and began writing and producing the songs that would later become her debut album. In 2004, she performed at various shows and cultural events in the city of Sao Paulo; most notably, the “Grito Cultural Reggae Festival,” which drew more than 80,000 people at Pacaembu Stadium. With her commanding stage presence, she began to gain ground in the music scene in South America. She represented Brazil in the “Dynamic Soundclash” in Argentina, an opportunity that earned her several trips subsequently to the country.
