Dream of illusion

Dream Of Illusion project started in 2003 with a very young line-up. They grew up with covers of the most famous hard-rock bands such as Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Deep Purple and more. The 2005 marked the turning point of the band!In this year they achieved good placings in national and european festivalsfacing high-relief national artists. This results improved the growth of the band and pushed them to compose their own songs, approaching to heavy-metal sounds! However their music is influenced by many genres providing them an original sound that moves away from the classic features of metal. The first line-up shows a female voice, who leaved the band in 2007 . On June 2007 Francesco Valentini, the new singer, joined the band taking back to the band the lost stability.Since the change of line-up the band gradually moved away from musical contests to play in the live clubs gaining popularity and rising their reputation.Now DOI's songs show a mix of heavy kickin' ass riffs and melodic voices resulting in a modern and original kind of metal that satisfies not only pure metalheads but also the masses! I Dream Of Illusion si formano nel 2003 con una line-up molto giovane. Crescono con le cover dei piu grandi artisti hard rock come Guns n' Roses, AC/DC, Deep Purple e molti altri. Il 2005 per la band è l'anno della svolta. In quest'anno ottengono ottimi piazzamenti in festival contests nazionali ed europei confrontandosi con artisti nazionali di grande esperienza. Questi risultati contribuiscono alla realizzazione di pezzi inediti caratterizzati dalla miscela di molti generi diversi, mantenendo comunque lo stampo heavy- metal. La prima line-up vede una voce femminile, Alessandra Ferrari, la quale lascia la band nel marzo 2007. Nel giugno 2007 dopo alcuni mesi di silenzio i Dream of Illusion ritornano alla loro attività live più forti e decisi che mai, aiutati dalla voce melodica e potente allo stesso tempo del nuovo cantante Francesco Valentini. Nonostante continuino gli ottimi risultati ai contest, la band decide di intraprendere la strada dei locali live, guadagnando popolarità e rispetto. Le nuove canzoni dei DOI mostrano un mix di riffs pesanti e voci melodiche. Il tutto sfocia in un moderno e originale genere di metal, capace di soddisfare non solo i metallari piu accaniti ma anche le grandi masse! Official Facebook Page
