Johnny Quest The Rebel

A perfect mix of 90s inspired lyrics and today’s modern sound, Trenton, NJ native Johnny Quest the Rebel had a passion for hip-hop music at an early age. Attempting to avoid the normal traps of city life, Quest quickly connected with music and another special passion of football to avoid becoming a product of his environment. Music grabbed an early place in his life, as Johnny took to freestyling with his older brother and cousins at age 9 and recording his first track at age 13. Simultaneously, his promising future in football flourished, eventually landing him a collegiate scholarship. While grinding on the gridiron, music stayed close as he spent his off time downloading thousands of songs and writing at the same rapid rate. After graduating, he penned the narrative of the modern-day Rebel and their contemporaries on his first solo EP Rebelz N The Hood in 2014. He followed this with the introspective journey of “Soul Rebel #1” on his 2016 release Soul Searching. Through these strong projects, relocating to Los Angeles and opening for such artists as Curren$y and Metro Boomin, Quest has begun to be recognized as a skilled artist and performer with a unique style.
