Asphyxian

Asphyxian formed in the spring if 1877 in new York city, playing street corners for passersby. Their audience usually consisted of children and deaf people. The band to often squandered their daily coin received from their pitying listeners, at burlesque shows or back room bars. After too many drinks and too many dances the band opted for more rural environments, so they took up their shabby belongings and walked to what is modern day New Orleans Louisiana Often times in the ramshackle taverns in which they played, they heard of legends of an old witch , an immortal hag generally deemed to be the daughter of the devil . Being the curious bunch that they were , Asphyxian set out to find the old woman . After many months of searching , drinking, and getting lost they found her.. In a split level right off of the swamp.. The women had promised them riches and glory until the end of time, under the condition they sing only of love and loss, pain , heartache, betrayal, and death..
