Outside. It's where we go to refresh. It's where we go to experience the world untouched and uninfluenced by our own devices and doings. Going outside is leaving our small creation to be a part of something bigger. Outside is where life really happens. It's an uncontrolled and free place that invokes inspiration. Going outside is a journey away from what we expect and know. Outside is where we run to. Outside is where we want to stay. In the cold early months of 2016, Aaron Becker, Garrett Johnston, and Sean West began a mysterious project that would become Stay Outside. After a perplexing countdown on Stay Outside’s website unveiled the project, the band began to generate buzz through radio interviews, hilarious YouTube Sketches, and of course its explosive live performances. While giving nods to alt-rock greats like Thrice and Manchester Orchestra, Stay Outside developed a unique brand of emotionally drenched indie-rock. With lyrical themes of wandering and searching for hope, Aaron Becker has penned songs that will resonate with listeners in any phase of life.
