About Emily Haviland
Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, Emily Haviland Baker is a locally-grown, up-and-coming performer in the Greater-Boston area. After nearly fifteen years studying classical violin/viola, with her last two years learning under New England Conservatory's Gillian Rogel and James Buswell, she stepped away from music. Since Emily's six-year stint in Corporate America, she is currently in her fifth semester at Berklee College of Music, dual-majoring in Music Therapy & Violin Performance concentrating in American Roots Studies. There, she is studying with famous performers like Darol Anger, Bruce Molsky, Matt Glaser, Dr. David Wallace, Dave Hollander, Maeve Gilchrist, and Joe Walsh. Emily has performed at an array of different venues and halls, ranging from spots like New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall and Boston-infamous Symphony Hall, to smaller venues like the Cantab Lounge in Cambridge, MA. Emily will be graduating in May of 2017, which is also the predicted approximate-date she will being receiving her MT-BC license.
