Straight No Chaser

I would have loved to have heard more songs from the groups in the 90’s that I was familiar with. However, the harmony and singing was on point as it always is, even with the newer members. Missed Randy and Charlie in the bass range, but the new guy was great! The group never disappoints and this was at least our 12th concert!!

VENUE - FABULOUS!!! THE LINES TO GET IN MOVED WELL. STAFF DIRECTING LINES FOR THE BATHROOMS AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS WAS WONDERFUL. HAVING THE MERCHANDISE AVAILABLE AFTER THE SHOW WAS GREAT. THE BAR(S) SET-UP WAS FANTASTIC!!! THE MURAT IS THE VERY BEST VENUE - AND WE GO TO A LOT OF CONCERTS AT DIFFERENT PLACES!!! KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC JOB, MURAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Technical question how did the theaters determine the volume of the mics to be so painfully loud- just like we could just had headphones on Loved their last song with mics down! And everything about the show Thank so much for a wonderful experience Will be returning to hear SNC again! Angela

The concert was good. Individually, the group members are outstanding, but as membership has changed over time, there also seems to be a loss of genuine interplay between them. I do not like this venue. The staff is terrific, but the theater is cold, and the parking is expensive or remote. I liked it when they performed in Baltimore better.

These gentlemen are consummate artists who have hit on that magic combination: they take their music and their business very seriously, but onstage, they appear not to take themselves too seriously. After their concert at the fabulous Durham Center for the Performing Arts, I felt I like I’d spent the afternoon with nine younger brothers — very, very talented younger brothers.

These boys are my FAVORITE a cappella group, and they never disappoint. I would even go so far as saying this is the best show of theirs I’ve seen yet, and this was my fifth time seeing them. THREE ENCORES AND FOUR STANDING OVATIONS, what more do you need to know??? What a great evening!

I didn't have a chance to get to this show, but had gone to that venue a couple years ago. I did go to the the show last December in El Cajon. The show was terrific. Thank you very much for what you do. Being a seventies kid(now 72)I really miss a lot of what I used to listen too.

We had a blast, as usual, at the SNC concert. This is our second time at the "Christmas" concert, and the third time total to see these great guys in person. They are so talented, entertaining and joyful -- they set the tone for a Merry Christmas for my husband and me. Hoping to see them again next year and beyond!

Oh my goodness, what a show!! From the very beginning, they were feeding off of the crowd’s energy and you could really tell. Music, choreography, humor - SNC has it all, topped off by the fact that all 9 members are just awesome people too. This is a great venue and I hope there are many more SNC concerts here in coming years.

The group is spectacular! A Capella music is so cool. Their harmonies are beyond compare. The first part of the show was a mix of non-holiday music. The voices, especially the bass and percussionist were excellent. Most, if not all, of their songs were just amazing. The second half was holiday music, each better than the one before. This is without a doubt the holiday show to see.

Concert is always an uplifting and joyous experience. I consider my Christmas officially started once I see Straight No Chaser in concert every year. Venue was very easy to navigate. Especially since we were running a little late to the event. We will be back to see them again in a heartbeat.

This time I brought a friend who loved the show and is telling all her friends and family to book a ticket wherever they are. The music was wonderful as usual, but the energy and humor were high. Sold out show with standing ovation. Everyone had a good time.

One of the best live shows I’ve been to. In an age where everyone lip syncs these guys were funny and entertaining. Ticket prices did t break the bank it was 2 hours of great entertainment. Worth every penny, don’t miss the chance to see them if you have it.

We try and see SNC anytime they are in our area and they have never disappointed us. A show with big energy, humor, and great choreography. Kleinhans Music Hall was a great venue with clear sight lines and terrific acoustics. For each show, they do one song without electronics and this allowed the hall acoustics to really shine

I have followed Straight No Chaser for years, since their early days performing in Atlantic City. In Ft. Lauderdale, they were in fine form; I think they were better than ever! They’ve really kicked it up a notch. Lots of energy, there was little down time as they moved from one number to another. I love them all and their voices were strong and on point, with tight harmonies and interesting mash-ups. Jerome was great as usual: funny at the right times and serious in others. Mike’s voice never sounded better. Their choreography was stepped up and well executed. I love that they don’t take themselves too seriously and appear to be having such a great time! The first half was great and showcased some new things, and the second half did not disappoint, adding on some of the holiday faves. A highlight was their rendition of “Creep” which was powerful and moving. “Mary Did You Know” was good as ever, and their “12 Days Of Christmas” felt fresh and was wonderful. They ended singing pure a cappella, no mikes and no percussion. Powerful and soulful. Another highlight of the evening was the introduction of their newest member, Freedom Young, who has the goods! He’s a powerhouse with his phenomenal beatboxing, laying down the percussion, and his incredible voice. Wow! In addition, he wrote an original holiday song, which the group performed and are adding to their repertoire. It was a wonderful evening. I heard the comments of others on the way out, all in agreement with me. Can’t wait for next time!

My only complaint was that it wasn’t long enough and I didn’t have enough room to dance with them. It is always an honor to hear SNC in person. It’s a spiritual and musical enlightenment for those who truly love A’ cappella and appreciate what it takes to preform it. All of us college chior drop-outs are passionately living through you guys. May the music never fade for any of us. <3

I gave my acapella-loving parents tickets to SNC show as a Mothers/Fathers Day gift. We all had a great time. They LOVED the performance and the humor, and even I - an acapella-neutral listener - had fun. It's an especially great concert experience if you're going with multiple generations with something for young kids, teens and adults of all ages.
