Through life, we often wander and feel as though we don't have an identity or a home. Sometimes, these feelings can be disheartening and even downright depressing. What if that's the point, though? Maybe life isn't about having it figured out, but about that journey on which figuring it out take you. "The idea of change, struggle, wandering, and searching for your place in this world is intriguing to me," Seth says. "That what the vagabond summer. is all about: songs of change, trial, and wandering." Starting as a folk singer/songwriter solo project, the vagabond summer. has evolved musically, adding a full band, indie rock sound. Other influences are folk, alternative, blues, and even just plain rock n roll. In fact, the vagabond summer's music seems to very much follow the same "wanderer" theme of its lyrics, progressing between sounds and transforming into something completely new each time. Overall, the hope is that the music made will provide some joy and relief from the hectic details of everyday life, while also addressing issues which many people may be able to relate to. "I just wanna show other folks that it's ok to wander, to not know or not have life all figured out."
